Motor Behavioural Analysis (MBA)

Research in Basic and Clinical Neurophysiology, Medical Instrumentation

At present, ETT has developed two integrated systems for motor behavioural analysis with the aim to:
  • give researchers new tools to investigate human motor and cognitive functions
  • provide instruments potentially able to give some more hints in neurological diagnosis and person-centric rehabilitation treatments, by quantifying different aspects of motor and cognitive performance
These two systems offer complementary investigation methods for the quantitative analysis of upper limb movements involving proximal and distal segments.
MBA systems consist of:
  • Motor Task Manager (MTM) for evaluation of planar reaching movements
  • Glove Analyser System (GAS) for evaluation of finger opposition movements
