NEUROBit System is a general purpose data acquisition software that you can use to process and record electrophysiological signals of neuronal preparations.
This system can be used to record raw data, to extract action potentials (spikes), and to provide digital events (each digital event represents a spike).

NEUROBit System GUI interface enables the user to set up the data acquisition channels, monitor the signals on all channels simultaneously, and control the data recording process.

NEUROBit System is specifically designed to record signals gained by the Multi Channel Systems MEA1060 Amplifier and the National Instruments (NI) E series PCI 6071e data acquisition (DAQ) board installed in your PC.
The software generates multi-channel files in DAT format (binary format where each sample is stored into two bytes) by using the digitizing capabilities of the NI DAQ device (12bit of resolution).
Furthermore the software generates multi-channel files of spikes timestamps in TXT format (text file in ASCII format).
To make available the digital spikes, you must have the National Instruments (NI) PCI DIO 32HS digital input output (DIO) board installed in your PC.
